Remember to Super Bloom

Its part of life, we will be exposed to others and how they live their life. If your lucky, youll get to peek inside the lives of friends and family, past the ‘instagrammable’ moments to the nitty gritty of how they ‘do life’.

Living with intention, in alignment with your heart held values is super attractive to me. I love to see things line up in my own life and then appreciate that in others lives:

  • walking into a friends house and thinking to myself, oh yeah she loves art as much as I thought!

  • being invited for lunch and thinking oh my lordy, I’m salivating smelling her cooking

  • or yep there she is talking to the man at the market and giving him her full attention.

We can be inspired by others, mix some inspiration in and yet stay true to our own way of being. We do this by treasuring our own uniqueness, and taking a little piece of what we feel inspired by.

Its a way of living in the world that feels true in the deepest part of our being don’t you think?

Inspired by others, but blooming in our own way. Asking your friend for her quiche recipe and then sharing it with her when she visits, on your favourite plates with some gorgeous tunes softly playing. Noticing a colour that you really love, and slowly weaving it into your own wardrobe (start with under garments is a quiet way hey!!).

Elena Brower, one of my favourite Yoga Teachers was featured in Yoga Journal about 20 years ago. She had the most glorious Altar, I was so inspired by it. It looked like it took up a large amount of space with really tall dieties. I wanted that, but I also share a home with others, who dont share this same love. What to do? Well, yes make my own creation.

Inspired by others, but, true to me.

The owner of my favourite shop to buy dresses Ainslie has a great style. She’s really helped me over the years to find my own way of wearing dresses. And yes, for sure there’s been some hit and misses! But what I’ve learned is that hey, not everything needs to match & don’t be afraid of colour. I’ve transitioned from pants and shirts to block prints, soft cottons, flowers and the sweetest jewels and couldnt be happier.

We get to grow, change and evolve in this life time. Lets not get locked into a ‘uniform’ or one way of dressing or living.

Experiment, have a ball, the days are long but the years go quickly.
