a small manifesto
What are you ‘FOR ’?
What do you LOVE?
What kinds of friends do you like?
Do you like texts or calls? (me, I’m BOTH!)
What values are you down to talk about?
Do your values show up in your day-to-day life?
What do you stand for?
We often know what we are against. But do we articulate what we are indeed for? What are you knee deep in life for, what would you rally to support? Take this and make it into your current age/season/chapter Manifesto. Something to read each day, to pivot towards, to soak your soul in, to receive D I R E C T I O N towards.
This last Thursday I was on the bus heading home, and I felt struck to write and remind myself what I am indeed “For”. And because this bus ride was so jolty and bumpy (it was pouring, hello Sydney roads) I opened up the Notes App on my phone… I know very 2024 of me to use my iphone like this.
So I started and I kept thinking about it. And kept modifying. And bless you, I could very well take a year with this exercise, but I thought it might be fun to share with you. It is probably missing alot but it was fun and kinda cathartic. Here’s the link to my Instagram post on it and here’s the written info below incase you too feel called to remember what it is that your heart is for:
A small manifesto 🍀
I’m in life for the small moments.
For real & raw friendship.
For non AI prompted texts.
I’m in for the small kindnesses.
For handwritten cards & good wine.
For the sun on my face, tea in hand.
For photos & countless notebooks.
For warm hugs & ‘you get me’ eyes.
I’m in life for the real & the authentic.
I’m here for hobbies & passion projects.
I’m here for the vows I spoke over 20 years ago.
In sickness & in health, easy to say the words when I’m standing in a gorgeous dress, before the love of my life surrounded by family, friends & with a bunch of fun ahead.
I’m not the first or the last to usher or accompany their love through sickness back to health.
I’m in it for love,
for the beauty of living ❤️
